Deep Robotics - Worlds First All Weather Humanoid - Looking Glass XR

China’s Deep Robotics has unveiled a humanoid robot called DR02, claiming it to be the world’s first “all-weather” humanoid. It carries an IP66 rating, meaning it is sealed against dust and can handle heavy rain, allowing it to operate in challenging external environments—something most humanoids avoid. DR02 stands about 175 cm tall (≈ 5 ft 9 in) and weighs around 65 kg, engineered to withstand temperatures from –20 °C up to 55 °C.

Beyond robustness, DR02 is built to be functional in real-world tasks. It walks at a normal speed of 1.5 m/s, can sprint up to 4 m/s when needed, climb slopes up to 20°, and carry loads of about 10 kg. Its modular parts allow for quick swaps of arms or legs to reduce downtime. On the computational side, it carries a 275 TOPS (trillion operations per second) processing unit and uses a suite of sensors—LiDAR, depth sensing, and wide-angle cameras—to perceive its environment, avoid obstacles, and plan movement in real time. The vision is for DR02 to be deployed across industrial inspection, security, and logistics roles, especially outdoors where traditional robots struggle.

TRON1 Conquers Chaos: LimX Dynamics’ Bipedal Robot Defies Physics in High-Speed Truck Test

TRON1 Conquers Chaos: LimX Dynamics’ Bipedal Robot Defies Physics in High-Speed Truck Test

LimX Dynamics’ bipedal robot, TRON1, just pulled off an astonishing real-world feat—balancing flawlessly in the back of a flatbed truck hurtling down the road at 44 mph. With no assistance and facing sharp turns, sudden braking, and 1G acceleration, TRON1 stayed upright the entire ride. This jaw-dropping display isn’t just a stunt—it’s proof that TRON1 is built for high-dynamic, real-world challenges, possibly even outperforming human balance in extreme scenarios.
