Piaggio Fast Forward: Gita mini - Looking Glass XR

Tiangong is a full-size, electric humanoid robot developed by Beihang University with a focus on dynamic bipedal locomotion. Standing around 163 cm tall and weighing 43 kg, Tiangong is capable of running at an average speed of 10 km/h, with peak speeds up to 12 km/h. The robot can traverse a variety of terrains including stairs, gravel, sand, and slopes, thanks to its lightweight build, custom electric actuators, and full-body control system. Its architecture includes dozens of joints that allow for smooth and adaptive motion in real-world environments.

Tiangong is designed as an open-source research platform, offering full schematics, control logic, and software for developers and institutions. It serves as a national standard platform for humanoid development in China, lowering R&D barriers and encouraging collaborative advancement. In 2025, a Tiangong variant completed a half-marathon in Beijing, showcasing its endurance and real-world mobility. While not a commercial product, Tiangong represents a major step toward scalable humanoid systems in disaster response, research, and industrial settings.

Training Humanoid Robots with Nvidia’s A.S.A.P.

We explore Nvidia’s A.S.A.P. (Aligning Simulation and Real-World Physics), an innovative framework that empowers humanoid robots to execute agile, full-body movements by bridging the gap between simulation and real-world physics. ASAP operates in two key stages: first, it pre-trains motion tracking policies in simulation using real human data; then, it fine-tunes these policies in the real world with delta action models…
